Why are voice notes so powerful?

Here are 4 tips to get the even more responses from your voice notes:

1) Send a written message right before ✍️

Make sure your voice is preceded and/or followed by a written message to mimic human texting. This will give the impression that you took the time to record a voice message just for them.

Your prospects are busy and don’t have time to listen to you ramble on. Keep you recording nice and short, 20 seconds is more than enough.

3) Mention something specific to your leads 🎯

You should always be reaching out to a list of leads that have things in common, such as the same industry, or they all share the same job title. This way, you can mention something specific to your leads in your voice notes. Remember, the more focused your list is, the more you can personalize your voice notes.

Here are some examples of how you can personalize your voice notes:

For a list with a shared industry:

  • “saw you’re in the [specific industry, e.g. digital marketing, accounting, tech] space and…”

For a list with a shared job title:

  • “I see that you’re heading up the [team they lead, e.g. sales, marketing, dev] team and…”

This is the best way of showing your leads that you are here to help them specifically, and that you’ve taken then time to understand them.


4) Smile whilst you record 😃

Just like during a phone call, a smile comes through in your voice and is actually contagious. Try recording yourself once while smiling and again without - the difference is noticeable and your prospects will love it.
