Organizing your contacts effectively starts with creating well-structured contact lists. This helps you manage and categorize your contacts more efficiently, essential for targeted outreach.

Step 1 : Creating a contact list is straightforward. Click on the "Contacts" icon in the vertical bar, then select "Import contacts"

βœ… Good Practice: We recommend organizing your imports into contact lists and naming them carefully to stay organized.

⚠️ Note: If you have just completed the onboarding process, you might be prompted to import contacts before you can create a list. The option to create a list becomes available after your initial import.

Once your contact list is ready, you can populate it using one of the five options below:

  1. Import leads from a LinkedIn search: This includes leads found through LinkedIn's Sales Navigator

  2. Import leads from a CSV file: Ideal for bulk importing LinkedIn profiles that you've already compiled thanks to other leads generation solutions (e.g., Clay, ZoomInfo, Apollo). This method is perfect for those who have accumulated extensive lists and wish to integrate them seamlessly into Prosp

  3. Import leads from a LinkedIn event: Capture leads from participants or attendees of LinkedIn events

  4. Import leads from a LinkedIn post: Gather leads from users who interacted with a specific LinkedIn post

  5. Import leads from a LinkedIn group: Utilize this option to pull leads from members of relevant LinkedIn groups

Import leads from a LinkedIn search

Follow these steps to import leads directly from your LinkedIn search results into your Prosp contact list:

Step 2: Click on "Import from LinkedIn search" within your Prosp dashboard.

Step 3: Copy and paste the URL of your LinkedIn search into the designated field, then click "Extract and import."

This method efficiently pulls relevant contacts based on your search criteria directly into Prosp, streamlining the process of building your contact list with high-quality leads.

Alternative Method Using the Prosp Extension

Step 2 : Conduct your LinkedIn search as usual. Once you find the contacts you wish to import, select your contact list and click "Add to Prosp" directly from the search results page. This option allows for immediate addition of contacts to your list, enhancing efficiency.

Your leads are now imported into your contact lists ✨. It is now time to create your campaign and start connecting with your prospects. Let's launch your outreach efforts and achieve your goals! πŸš€

Import leads from a CSV file

Bulk import your LinkedIn profiles that were previously extracted from other lead generation sources like Clay, ZoomInfo or Apollo.

πŸ’‘ What is a CSV file? A CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file is a simple file format used to store tabular data, such as a spreadsheet or database. Each line of the file is a data record, with each record consisting of one or more fields separated by commas.

This guide assumes that you have already obtained a CSV file ready for import. The following steps will guide you on how to upload it into Prosp.

⚠️ Prerequisite : Ensure that the first row of your CSV file serves as the header, detailing what each column represents. Incorrect or missing headers can lead to import errors.

Step 2: Select "Import from CSV file" within your Prosp dashboard.

Step 3: Upload your CSV file.

Step 4: Our AI will automatically map relevant columns of your CSV to contact variables. Ensure that all columns are correctly labeled to facilitate accurate data conversion.

😊 Custom Variables: we now support the use of custom variables so you can include custom columns to include in your messages :)

Step 5: Assign the imported data to a contact list and click "confirm." Choosing a campaign at this stage is optional.

✨ Well done! Your leads are now imported into Prosp. You're all set to start engaging with your new contacts.
