The "Wait X Days" action sets pauses between actions to mimic natural communication rhythms. It's simple to use and makes a huge difference to the success of your campaign.

By default, actions in the sequence builder will run immediately after the previous action but you can use delays to break up actions.

Here's how to incorporate time delays into your sequences:

Step 1: Select "Wait X Days" card from the action cards in the sequence builder. This will add it to your sequence.

Step 2: Set the delay length in days. Once the card has been added to the sequence builder, you can simply determine the number of days to wait. You can check out our Ultimate Follow Up Guide on best practices for message delays.

Message delay FAQs:

❓ If the sequence waits for a few days and then sends a message, will it send outside of my Schedule?

No, messages will not be sent outside of your schedule. The sequence will wait until your schedule becomes active and send the message then.

❓ Should I add a delay between my connection request and the first message?

This is not typically considered necessary. Prosp will check if the connection has been accepted every 24 hours and so there will be a slight natural delay between the connection being accepted and the message being sent anyway.

If you want to increase that delay, feel free to add a "Wait X Days" card
