Here is what each lead status means and how Prosp handles it:
Each status is specific to the campaign or workspace, and Prosp updates it automatically based on actions.
Status | Meaning |
Not Contacted | The lead has not started processing in this specific campaign yet. No actions have been done. |
Contacted | The lead has been processed in the campaign and will not enter or restart in the campaign again. |
In Campaign | The lead is currently being processed in the campaign. Some actions may already have happened earlier, but no new actions can be triggered manually until processing is complete. |
Not Accepted | A connection request was sent but not accepted within 14 days. The request will be withdrawn automatically based on your settings in Settings → General, and the status will update after withdrawal. |
Replied | The lead has responded to a campaign message. Campaign stops for this lead and it will not be processed again. |
Duplicate | The lead appears more than once in campaigns, or the setting “Skip leads contacted by another campaign” is ON. These leads are marked as duplicates and will not be processed again. |
Blacklist | The user has manually blocked this lead in the workspace. It will never enter or run in any campaign. |
Failed | Lead faced an unexpected system-side error (not caused by the user). You can retry after fixing the issue or switching proxy if applicable. |
Summary in Simple Words
Leads start as Not Contacted (not started in this specific campaign).
When the campaign begins processing → In Campaign (actions may have already happened earlier).
When processing finishes → Contacted (won’t restart or re-enter that campaign).
If the lead responds → Replied (campaign stops for that lead).
If the lead appears twice, or settings skip it → Duplicate (won’t be processed further).
If the user blocks the lead in workspace → Blacklist (won’t enter any campaign).
If a connection request expires in 14 days → Not Accepted (request is withdrawn and status updates).
If Lead faces an unexpected system error → Failed (can retry after fixing the issue).
Tip for Users
You don’t need to worry about contacting the same lead twice. Prosp updates the status automatically based on campaign activity and your settings.
