If your cookie has expired, you most likely will have received an email that looks like this:

And your workspace may show this:

Don't worry, this just means that your LinkedIn session has expired. Here's how to resolve:

1) If you originally connected your account using the extension 🔗

(scroll down if you originally connected with credentials)

Why is this happening?

When you connect your LinkedIn account using our chrome extension, it connects your account using the "session cookie" of your browser.

However, if your "session" ends, this will also disconnect your account. This means that if you have log out of LinkedIn on your browser, and your account will disconnect from Prosp (showing Cookie Expired).

How to fix

  1. Navigate to Settings > Accounts

  2. Here you will see your account. If you have the "Cookie Expired" notification in your main dashboard but not next to your account AND the your campaigns are not running, you will still need to proceed.

  3. Simply disconnect the account, and then select "add a LinkedIn account."

  4. If you log in and out of LinkedIn frequently, we suggest using the Credentials method. Even if you have not logged out of LinkedIn and your account has become disconnected, you should still use the credentials method.

  5. When connecting with credentials, make sure 2FA is enabled! (Read this guide).

2) If you connected your account using the credentials method 🔒

Why is this happening?

Sometimes, when changes are made to a LinkedIn account (typically caused by LinkedIn updates) your account may become disconnected in Prosp, causing you to see the "Cookie Expired" message in your workspace.

How to fix

If this is the first time your account has become disconnected within the last few days:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Accounts.

  2. Click on the "Disconnect" button.

  3. Once the account is disconnected, select "add a LinkedIn account"

  4. Choose to connect your account by credentials. Ensure 2FA is enabled! (Read this guide).

  5. This will reconnect your account, and you can turn your campaigns back on. (If your cookie still says expired, you can ignore it and turn your campaign back on).

If your account is continually disconnected, please reach out to our team using the Intercom support widget in the bottom right of your screen:
