If your campaigns hit a "Proxy server is down" error, it's almost always a temporary connection issue we can recover from in under a minute. Here's how to fix it for both the System Proxy and custom proxies.
π§ What This Error Means
When you see "Proxy server is down" or "Proxy server is down(2)", Prosp has paused your campaign to keep the LinkedIn account safe. In most cases the campaign restarts on its own β the steps below cover the cases where it doesn't.
π οΈ Fix: Refresh the Country (System Proxy)
If you're on the System Proxy (the proxy provided by Prosp), refreshing your country setting forces a new proxy assignment.
Go to Settings.
Change the country to United States.
Wait about 1 minute.
Change it back to your desired country.
Run the campaign again.
π§ If You're Using a Custom Proxy
If you've connected your own proxy and it's down, the issue is on your provider's side β not Prosp's.
Contact your proxy provider to confirm the proxy is up.
In the meantime, switch back to the System Proxy temporarily so your campaigns keep running. Go to Settings > Accounts, click the 3 dots next to your LinkedIn account, and update the proxy.
Switch back to your custom proxy once it's restored.
π Connecting Accounts During a Proxy Issue
If the proxy is causing connection errors (timeouts, captcha, "Failed to connect"), use this temporary workaround:
In Settings, switch your proxy to the United States.
Connect the LinkedIn account using your preferred method.
Once connected, change the proxy back to your desired country.
